BECOMING BQA / BQAT CERTIFIED OR RECERTIFIED
Producers can become certified one of two ways:
In-person: In-person certification is strongly encouraged because it allows producers to have face-to-face interaction with a BQA trainer. This provides the opportunity to ask questions about the program or guidelines and address any concerns. Producers can certify in-person by attending BQA events open to the public or by contacting a certified Nebraska BQA Trainer. Most in-person trainings certify producers in both BQA and BQAT simultaneously. The National BQA program expects in-person trainings to last 1.5 - 2 hours.
SCHEDULE OF IN-PERSON BQA/BQAT EVENTS
Online: Producers can also choose to certify online. While we strongly suggest in-person trainings, we understand it can be difficult for some producers to step away from their operations. Through online certification, a producer can complete the free online training modules at any time and at their own pace. BQAT certification is also offered online. If you need both BQA and BQAT certification, you will have to complete modules for each. Expect online BQA certification to take 2 - 3 hours and online BQAT certification to take 2 - 2.5 hours.
